Making Health Simple, Local, and Human.

Bridging medicine and community, one conversation at a time.

About

I am Dr Lethukwenama Letsoalo, a medical doctor, Chevening Scholar, and one of South Africa’s leading bilingual health communicators. My work bridges medicine, public health, and digital communication, with a focus on sexual and reproductive health, non-communicable diseases, and health promotion.

Born and raised in Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal, I saw firsthand how health inequalities shape underserved communities. That experience drives my commitment to giving young people and underserved populations accurate, relatable health information in a language they understand.

I hold an MBChB from Stellenbosch University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health from the University of Pretoria, and a Master of Science in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, completed as a Chevening Scholar.

Since 2021, I’ve created health content in isiZulu and English, growing a community of over 800,000 followers and reaching millions of South Africans each month. I am the founder of Thrive Health Services, a telehealth practice where you consult a doctor online, and a Digital Opinion Leader in public health.

Today I combine medicine with digital health, speaking, and consultancy to advance health equity, and to make health simple.
